Mubarak, Kafaya, and the Emergency Law

I do not advocate denying President Mubarak another round at the helm. I certainly am not for the removal of the emergency law! Are you serious? Our version of the Patriot Act was not coincidentally born of the same matter. As sad a state as it is our environment cannot afford, nor it dare, tolerate tolerance. How can it? Democracy is not a form of government, a philosophy, or an institution. Democracy with all the freedoms and rights associated is a luxury. As the Americans are learning, a luxury seldom few can afford.

Salutes to Ayman Nour and Kafaya, for their courage and convictions however misguided, its all patriotism to me. The president is not going anywhere though, and neither are his laws. Let us for once look at the cause not the consequence. Let us deserve to live proudly! We can start by letting it be known that these sons of bitch's that are trying to rape our homeland will not be tolerated. These misguided Neanderthals! Succeeding in nothing but the fostering of more grief…economically, physiologically. One random act is enough. That's what makes it so unbearably impossible. Years of constraint and stagnation sacrificed by a pipe bomb a two year old with internet could build and the idiot that would wielded it.

Stability is the ultimate yet largely unattainable goal in our region. The days of Nasser and Sadat's radical changes are not for today. Stability is manifested in President Hosny Mubarak and that's why he would get my "vote".

But Ayman has gotten things shaken, and since no nations' internal movements are in harmony, it is reassuring to see the course towards our elusive change in motion. Let us just hope we can afford it.

1 - I support the idea of the Kefaya movement, the daring opposition, its about time we have a chance to speak out, but don’t get too carried away, send the message that Mubaraks time is depleting, but do not stand firmly against him with whatever powers you might have, in this election. Since it is for the good of Egypt that he stays this term, we are not yet ready, nor are any other opposition groups or political parties to take on the job. First of all no opposing candidate has a chance to oust the leader that has ruled us for more than two decades, in a mere couple of months. Second of all, if Mubarak leaves now, we are destined for an uncertain, dangerous future. This is a chance, these next couple of years, until the next election, for ideas of opposition groups to be known, so that the people could vote fairly, and not hastily. I say to the patriots of the opposition, wield your guns but keep them unloaded. Let Mubarak know how you feel, he is as much of a patriot as you are. May Egypt grow more powerful and prosperous.

2 - concerning EMERGENCY LAW being implied in egy..
its 100% 2y kalam . the way i c it , its like having the political police back again after yrs of assumed freeedom. its only there to protect intrests of a government with no line of communication what so ever.its there as a first line of defence , last friday maba7eth arrested 20 and more 2khwan , just for attempting to plan a peaceful demonstartion . this is why its there , just thinking to say no or enough would get u in trouble .i am not with 2khwan or against them , bas still they have a right to say whatever , like everybody else .
kefaya , planned one a month or more ago, next day in the news , bla bla bla the ppl were arrested for the following 1 not telling authorities in advance about it .
2 not using the ALLOWED channels of saying whatever u want .
so it was like , u r free to say whatever , but if u do i arrest u , weshhh .
the bombings ,come on ya3ny , 2y kalam. what was said in local tv and news , was a kg story . u think we r moving forward , bas still this government treats egy. ppl as if they‘re 3eyal habla had7ak 3lehom .
u should c the streets , guys its been a while since u came , there is a lot happening .
we 7ekayet new president , opaaa y3ny . its scary , its
a transition zone , if it happens , one of 2 things happen it either goes well or we go back to become algeria in the 80‘s and 90‘s .
the movements kefaya, ta7reer , 2khwan and 27rar for example . r all trying bas te main problem is , they have very short plans.

6 - Although I am with the people who say we had enough, Kafaya ba2a, but again the change should not come like this. we should have a vice president and qualified candidates as the 9 candidates are not qualified to be Presidents!!
Egypt is a country that can not be lead by trial and error, no space for learning through mistakes in such a big country, so if we are going to have a president we should have a person with International and national reputation and a vision for the future, sorry to say none of the 10 candidates have the above! None of the people that can really win and gather the Egyptian around, or have the Carisma to be a president has been running for election!!
This time they had left us with no choice but Mubarak!
Although I do not agree but.. may be next time we will have a more reasonable choices. (Comment this)
