An Egyptian Appeal

I address this very short letter to you and to all the honorable and free people in the world, to all the representatives of the free people and those whose consciences refuse oppression, injustice, false accusations and merciless murder.

My letter is very short due to the circumstances out of my control restricting my freedom and depriving me of my human rights, the foremost of which is the right to write, express and reject the injustice and suffering I am subjected to!!

The day my freedom was taken away in January 2005, your great efforts -after God and combined with the efforts of my supporters- played a crucial role in my release. The first faces I saw -an honor to me- were the faces of a delegation of European male and female parliament representatives. Your visit to me during my imprisonment is not only reason for breaking the doors of this prison and my temporary release, it also gave me the possibility of exercising my right in running for the first presidential election. I was imprisoned to prevent me from running for the election in January 2005. With God's grace and the enthusiasm of the reformists I was able to come in second to the president and be the only competitor to him and his son despite the rigging and all forms of injustice, defamation and changing the results. I also paid an extra price when my constituency's election results were rigged thus causing me to lose my permanent seat in the parliament due to blatant rigging. Some of you were in Cairo and witnessed a part of the tragedy.

Today I pay a new and high price as punishment for having run for the presidential election. I am also being prevented from continuing the democratic reform path in Egypt so that the current regime can strengthen its presence by claiming there is no alternative for it other than fundamentalism and terrorism, thus forcing people inside and outside Egypt to accept its presence.

Unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen, I do not pay this price alone. My children, family, party, my whole generation and all the reformists in this country pay the price, too. I lost my freedom, my work as a lawyer, journalist and chairman of the first and only civil political party to be established in a quarter of a century, the duration of Mubarak's rule. I am threatened of remaining in prison for five years and prevented from exercising my political rights for another five years to guarantee that Egypt is inherited by Mubarak's son, as well as making me an example to anyone who thinks of breaking the power monopoly not only in Egypt but in the Arab world!!

I call upon you to exert every effort to defend my fair case not for my sake, nor for the sake of my children or my party that is being destroyed, my human rights which are violated in this prison every morning, or my life which illness, injustice and oppression are eating away at. I ask you to defend my fair case to keep hope alive for the coming generations which we do not want to lose hope. It is for these generations that I call upon you to exert every effort to defend my fair case and to visit me in prison to witness the truth which the Egyptian regime is very good at concealing and telling lies to prove the opposite. Free people of the world. I am dying alone for a principle, for my country and for freedom.

Please raise my voice before my spirit departs this world.

1 - Explanation sought

Perhaps I’m naïve or ignorant but my first thought in reading the June 25 post is “I don’t get it.”

I’m not a fan of oppression, injustice, false accusations, and merciless murder.

In my news media (please don’t throw “conspiracy stuff my way, it is a poor argument at best) it seems like there is a great deal of “oppression, injustice, false accusations and even merciless murder in Arab countries and often between citizens of the same country.

Even the “author” of the posting is a victim.

He lost “his” freedom in January of 2005. Can someone point me to the “overwhelming evidence” that the majority of “free” Arabs have rallied to his cause? By that I mean the mainstream Arabic media. Did global Arabic countries rally to support him?

He mentions EUROPEAN parliament representatives being the first faces he saw! Where were the Arabic representatives?
Note that one of the parliament representatives was a female! Any female Arabic representatives make a big push for his freedom? (Remember, I’m ignorant)

If indeed the “elections” were rigged as he suggests, where were the Arab countries representatives? Shouldn’t they be concerned about “rigged” elections? After all, if the United States or Israel complain it is because of their “jewish plot” not for any sense of “fair” elections. So why didn’t the Arab media investigate and show the world what the real story is?

So now this man is being punished for standing up for the rights of others. Where are the others? Quiet as usual based on my perusal of the world media. Come on folks show me the marches in other countries! Show me the petitions in other countries! Show me the global Arabic outrage!

His family is being punished! So much for my conception of support for family values in Egypt! Where is the outrage?

And yet he calls on ME to help him. I can do that! I’m a free citizen of the United States. I can stand for ANYONE ANYWHERE regardless of nationality or religion! Where are those who should care even more about this man? Either afraid to stand up for a man who hopes for more in Egypt or I’m missing some secret!

Sorry folks but I see this man’s plight as indicative of the REAL problem in Arab countries. The powers that be convince the citizens that the real problem is something else and not them. It’s the western world, it’s Israel, it’s Jews, it’s Christians, it’s not corrupt, greedy leaders of Arab countries who wrap themselves in tradition or religion.

Wake up!

By the way, yes, I live in the United States. I’m also working actively to defeat the Republican Congress and Bush. I voted against them in the last election and NOT ONCE did I fear that there might be any repercussions against me or my family. Not once! I also stand up for many people around the world who suffer injustice and have NO FEAR for doing so.

So where are the voices to OBJECT to oppression, injustice, false accusations, and merciless murder in Arab countries. Not in the Arab mainstream media (unless they want to castigate the westerners!) No we have to find it in blogs because some folks don’t want to really change the status quo in Arab countries.

This guy asks for help and HIS world is quiet. That speaks volumes!

4 - Gazelder Lufetarg,

I hate saying it, but you're absolutely right.. Few Egyptians are at peace with this truth now, and few of us intend to do something about our passive attitude. But rest assured, we know we'll suffer the consequences of being less passive than usual.
But, well, we're learning not to care either as long as we're right.

Thanks for passing by,

Egypt is an authorarian society. Changing the government requires we form a Liberal political party. We should seek to bring Hosni Mubarak to trial for crimes against humanity, in the same way Saddam Hussein (may God curse him) was tried and sentenced to die.

8 - hello,
I enjoyed reading ur blog, even though no joy can be derived from reading news about the arab world and our own disastrous situations! though it may seem to the world that arabs are incompetent and useless, they have to know that we are struggling against one hundred million enemies. the fact that we were targeted by the biggest war machinery on the globe, is the proof that we are considered to be dangerous and our unification really unwanted! let me just say that the lack of means we suffer from , though huge, did not deter us from resisting, and it shall not. but the leftist movements all around the world are suffering at the hand of capitalistic governments and their struggle is being repressed by the power of police and media that support and advertise the values of the Capital. the least we can do and it's really effective sometimes is to write. while we were being slaughtered in lebanon I used to write every day on my blog in France ( it is owned by a major press company) my blog was censored and shut down... in Paris the city of lights.
so yes we may be weak but we have the fight in us and we will hit back

9 - IT IS TIME TO ELIMINATE ISLAM AND THE FEBRUARY 10TH JIHAD

by Joel Phillips
publisher: www.religiousfreedomwatch.org
owner: American Coast Title www.actfortitle.org

Mark my words. This bunch of hackers from that V for Vendetta movie are all funded by Islamic Fascists. Some of them have probably even gone to Indonesia to meet with Bin Ladin’s followers there!

The root of all terrorism is Islam. It is time to destroy it and remove all memory of it so it will never rise again!

You don’t believe me, well keep reading!

Just look at a few:

First World Trade Center Attack: A blind Egyptian guy was behind it. No one contests it.

Oklahoma City: Do not forget that McVeigh served in the first Gulf War. There is good reason to think he was recruited by jihadists in Iraq who were active at the time.

9/11: Islamic suicide extremists, forget the other theories. They were Taliban zealots hoping for virgins and palaces in Islamic heaven.

Spanish train bombs: More Jihad extremists, basically the same bunch as the 9/11.

London train bombs: Not the same 9/11 and Spain guys, but British Muslims from Pakistan.

Virginia Tech: This one is so sad. Psychiatry started Cho out. Then Islamic recruiters told Cho he would get infinite sex in Muslim heaven from the 172 virgins so he converted. Just like the 9/11 guys he was going to prostitutes but even they knew he wsa evil so they would not have sex with him. By trying to destroy Virginia Tech he thought he was attacking Bush’s aggression in Afghanistan.

London night club bombs: Good for the Brit cops, they have caught some of the guys and it is more of these Pakistan guys. Maybe it is time to have a serious think about what to do about Pakistan.

It is no accident or coincidence the bigots who oppose religious freedom are inspired by Islamic thought. Just look at some of the fine people on www.religiousfreedomwatch.org.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON on there is a zealot, bigot or extremist and you will find that most of them have extensive criminal records. Take a look at these criminal records and you will find the influence of Islam.

Charlotte Kates: this young woman is a card-carrying member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. They are kind of the poster child for Muslim terrorists.

Peter Alexander: this man makes hate films. He is also building some kind of an amusement park in the Arab Gulf. He is clearly doing the bidding of Islamist masters all the way around.

Patricia Greenway: this woman is Alexander’s business partner and lover. She likes to live the high life and Arab money helps out there. Word in Ybor City is that she has her eye on an Enzo.

Kristi Wachter: she puts out a daily hate newsletter. She has paid for the theft of materials from churches. She says she used to run a record company but how much money could it make? It seems to me she is getting her money from bin Laden and his friends.

David Touretzky: don’t be fooled. This man is not a mouse brain researcher, he is a bomb expert. Who is really paying for his research? Could it be the same bomb makers loose in Iraq?

Keith Henson: first, don’t forget that but for www.religiousfreedomwatch.org this man would still be on the loose. He is not just a bomb expert but a proved bomb maker. And who wants to pay for bombs? Jihad extremists! Who is paying for him to be able to buy toothpaste in jail? Could it be a guy called Osama?

Tory Bezazian: She walked away from her husband of many years to engage in hate activities. Where does she get money? The answer is Islam. She is a directly funded agent of the Los Angeles Koranic Council.

Andreas Heldal-Lund: this man supported Middle East bomber Lars Gule, need I say more?

Arnie Lerma: Nazi and leading conspiracy theorist. This man is worse than an anarchist as some day he will probably kill himself just to make a stupid point.

Rob Clark: threatens to blow up a church and a weather station? Who knows why, but when you get to the bottom, you will find a copy of the Koran there!

As to the site, religiousfreedomwatch.org, it is paid for 100% by my company, American Coast Title. I am one of the owners. The other two owners, Frank Berriz and Linda Blood are 100% behind what I am doing as are our parent underwriter Stewart Title.

We also get pretty good support from our employees although it would be illegal of me to impose my political beliefs on them.

Does it surprise you that I am being attacked by Indonesians? Not a coincidence that Indonesia is an Islamic country.

The company is willing to pay a nice reward to the person who will stand up and help me stop them. Please look at my site for details.

Expect without doubt a lot of trouble in Glendale. That is where American Coast Title is located as well as a dense population of Armenians. The Armenians do not like Arab Muslims so the area is getting very tense as the clock ticks down for Islamic terrorism.

So I am calling for the elimination of Islam and to these Anonymous Partyvan Vendetta of February People. Many other religious choices are available. No other religion is associated with state sponsored terror as documented by the US State Department Report on Terrorism.

This is a strong statement but it is time to end these attacks with bombs full of nails and gas. No other group does this. It is all and always back to Islam, Muslims, the Koran and groups like the Taliban and various sleeper cells.

Stand up with me on this one. Stand tall with me against Muslims who commit mass murder hoping for 172 virgins in a palace. Stand shoulder to shoulder with me to stop the next bunch suicidal bigots from burning down your city.

I hope the day will come when all we have left is one Mosque left up somewhere as a museum to the hatred Islam made and the Koran is a book kept in a locked up room at the FBI. Now that will be a banner day for world peace and religious freedom! (Comment this)
